Following on a social change OER resources post from a couple weeks back, here’s news about another great open knowledge resource for understanding and exploring grassroots social change action, from Beautiful Trouble.
Beautiful Trouble’s toolbox with 100s of entries is now fully online, to “document and disseminate the breakthroughs and innovations of cutting-edge practitioners the world over…the toolkits are multilingual, movement-crowdsourced, and evolve in real time alongside the movements they serve…”
One of the most powerful things that Connecting the Opens can do is to circulate emerging knowledge – new ideas, what’s working, learning from failures – among us all. It’s in this spirit that I’m grateful to see the Beautiful Trouble toolbox be fully online, CC BY-NC-SA licensed, with a solid thoughtful UX and translated into multiple languages. And for educators specifically, have created a well-received study guide to help frame classroom and experiental learning uses.
