Given the interest to have us open private discussion spaces here in OEG Connect, I wanted to share an alternative option for any person in this space to create a private channel for any topic. You do not need us to build it, you can make it yourself.
These work exactly the same as groups in messaging platforms like WhatsApp or Signal.
OEG Connect has a means for private chats to individuals. If you have been communicating this way, all conversations show up in the Connect navigation menu under DMS
To create your own group private channel, click the “+” button next to DMS
Then click the first item for New Group Chat Here you can give it a unique name and start adding people in OEG Connect you would like to include. Once created, this new group chat will be listed under DMs and any new activity indicated with a blue dot.
These are completely private channels any Connect user can create.
How should you invite people? Create a new topic in The Lobby as a call for interest, and anyone who replies you can add to your private chat channel.
