With two weeks left to [plant your seeds of recognition](https://www.oeglobal.org/2025/06/09/planting-seeds-of-recognition/) with a nomination for a [2025 Open Education Award for Excellence](https://awards.oeglobal.org/), we are asking you to give some thought to identifying who or what to nominate. And we ask especially that you consider people and projects that perhaps are not widely known and also from under represented regions of the world.

[![Open Education Awards 2025- Dig Deep, nominations open now, deadline July 21 awards.oeglobal.org](https://connect.oeglobal.org/uploads/default/original/2X/1/154663ee94f8c526f90850a67958a026526acf98.png)](https://awards.oeglobal.org/)

We will be posting examples of past winners that might help you see that not all awards go to big names and well funded projects. It’s all about [excellence in the goals and principles of open education](https://awards.oeglobal.org/open-education-principles-goals/).

We’re asking you to #digdeep to reveal …
👉 the unsung heroes planting the seeds of excellence in Open Education
👉 the focused OERs that impact local students
👉 the practices that nurture open education where you are.

We hope you enjoy the series of excellence selected from [all OEAwards 2011-2024](https://awards.oeglobal.org/awards/) that hopefully inspires you to dig deep into your own experience to add new seeds of recognition for 2025. All the information needed to create a nomination are available at [https://awards.oeglobal.org/about/2025-guide/](https://awards.oeglobal.org/about/2025-guide/).
