What is more universal around the world than food! Eating it?! Do you have a favorite food, maybe that is characteristic of where you live? Or a traditional family dish? How about sharing it below as a reply?

I feel there is such a powerful metaphor for OER in the idea of cooking, remixing recipes, and of course sharing.

Share here a food you love to cook/bake,. or just like to eat, Include a photo if possible (with attribution!) and a link to a recipe, whether it is one you use or just one you find by searching.

I have an idea of what we can do with these if we get a good set of replies. Share the food! Tantatlize us with a photo.

Here’s mine. I just made these potato pancakes or latkes last night using potatoes my wife and I grew in our garden last summer and have stored in our basement. It was a favorite dish my mom made.

I don’t seem to have my mom’s recipe or maybe I just do it on the fly, here is one I found and it says “Mom’s”

> Potato latkes are a traditional side dish for Hanukkah but can be served any time of the year. These crispy potato pancakes are one mom's trusted recipe.
