Hi all! In case you hadn’t heard, ISKME and BCcampus will hosting a satellite event in Vancouver BC for parts of the conference, live from Internet Archive Canada’s space at The Permanent!

See details and registration information but if there’s anything you’d like to do/see/hear (pick your verb) from/with (pick your preposition) satellite attendees, we’re all ears!

Excited to see this taking shape

Thanks Peter for announcing the OEGlobal 2026 YVR event. I encourage anyone even not in Vancouver, to take a look at the fabulous space this event will be happening in. and appreciate that this classy building is the home of the event sponsor, Internet Archive Canada.

We will be working with Peter and the ISKME/BCcampus team to send invitation links to all registered attendees in Vancouver to get access to the full online conference space here in OEG Connect.

Anyone who uses the link can quickly create a member account in the OEG Connect Community, be added to the Vancouver access group and then will be sent directly to the special welcome information just for the Vancouver participants. If you happen to have an OEG Connect account, first log in, then use the invitation link to get access to the group and conference space.

We welcome all of the attendees in Vancouver and hope you make the most of this community space to share the conference experience and network with the conference attendees in Cambridge and those participating online.

Check it out, @Peter posted an announcement of the Vancouver Satellite event in a public area to entice registration, and we can see replies from people already in OEG Connect planning to be there.

Suggestions are already happening- this is what we like to see in a community space.
