بناء القدرات حول نفاذية تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات والتصميم الشامل بالاستفادة من الموارد التعليمية المفتوحة (Harnessing OER to build capacity in ICT Accessibility and Inclusive Design) :sync:

Dr. Mohamed Koutheair Khribi (Mada - Qatar Assistive Technology Center), Dr. Aisha Al-Sinani (Mada - Qatar Assistive Technology Center)

Recognizing the pivotal role of open educational resources OER in providing equally effective access for all learners to education, Mada has joined the growing worldwide OER movement and pledges as such to support the effective, inclusive and equitable access to quality OER availing the great potential of inclusive ICTs in education so that educational resources are accessible for everyone, including persons with disabilities.

The Mada ICT accessibility and inclusive design ICT-AID harnessing OER project is bifold: (1) building capabilities toward an ICT-AID skilled population whose members contribute in the creation of accessible products, content and services; and (2) fostering the development and research of accessible OER.

MADA has developed the ICT-AID Open Competency Framework to guide training in the field of ICT accessibility and inclusive design. The main objective of MADA ICT-AID competency framework is to provide the community with an open competency framework that can be used as a template to assist educational institutions, organizations and individuals in delimiting the required relevant competencies in the ICT accessibility and inclusive design field. This framework is openly available to be contextualized and adapted for use in different learning contexts and modes, and availed as a tool for designing and structuring accessible open educational resources in the field of ICT accessibility. On that premise, Mada offers a dedicated OER Hub where accessible open educational resources are aggregated, curated and managed through collections, and groups, and development tools. Mada OER Hub is available for all partners, especially from the education and higher education sectors, in Qatar and beyond, in order to access, use/reuse, create, and share accessible quality open educational resources.
