En Argentina se han manifestado diversas tramas legislativas e institucionales que han promovido el debate por la temática ambiental en el ámbito educativo. Se ha dado paso a la Ley de Educación Ambiental integral en el marco de la necesidad de aprobación de una Ley de Humedales -donde se ha incluido el aspecto educativo- y discusiones entorno a Escazú.
Frente a tal contexto, una agenda de apertura liderada por instrumentos de los Planes de Acción a nivel nacional, federal y local se han dado cita para integrar las necesidades vinculadas a una “alfabetización ambiental abierta”. Esas tramas institucionales ambientales y abiertas no siempre encuentran un espacio común. Sin embargo, itinerarios de prácticas académicas locales promovidos desde las Humanidades y sociedad civil han incentivado ese cruce inevitable entre educación abierta, gobierno abierto y crisis climática.
