I am educational technology researcher, academic leader, and Open Education advocate with over 25 years of experience advancing digital transformation, educational innovation, and Open Educational Resources (OER) across Palestine and the MENA region. I am currently serves a Project Manager of the Learning Recovery Interventions for Grades 1–9 Project (STERATAC Phase II) and a Director of the Master’s Program in Educational Technology and E-Learning at Al-Quds Open University.
I have successfully led and managed major education projects funded by UNESCO, UNICEF, Erasmus+, the World Bank, the Belgian Development Agency (Enabel), and other international partners. As a UNESCO OER Expert, I have contributed to the development and promotion of Open Educational Resources (OER), Open Educational Practices (OEP), institutional capacity building, open education policies, and AI-enabled learning initiatives across the Arab region.
My research focuses on Artificial Intelligence in Education, digital citizenship, digital pedagogy, OER, and emerging technologies such as AI, VR, and AR. Through research, international collaboration, policy development, and graduate supervision.
