In Ghana , we have different languages but in my mother tongue we say I nga mo as good morning . My name is Nicholas Teye Otchie, a Ghanaian by birth. I am a teacher and started teaching in the year 2008 with the Ghana Education service. Working with Ghana Education Service as a teacher, I had the privilege to work in very remote villages and got to realized the need for education for all. I later had the opportunity to travel to china to teach ESL for 18months. I returned home to Ghana in 2019 and taught in one of the highly ranked International schools for 6 month. From 2021 till date I am in Ivory coast working with the INTERNATIONAL BILINGUAL SCHOOL OF AFRICA as English Language and Art Teacher ,teaching students in the middle and high school. I am passionate about change and have volunteer some years of my life in community development. I had the opportunity to serve my community of birth ( Dampase- a fishing community in the central region of Ghana) as the District Assembly Member for 10 years. This role provided the platform for me to be elected as the Sub committee chairman for Education in my District ( Gomoa East District Assembly) . We have been able to formulate policies that provided support to less privilege students to have access to higher education in my district. I am happy to be on this platform and I am looking forward to acquiring knowledge from the great brains here and will also be ready to share my opinions on topics discuss here.
