[Down undOER] UTS Open Education Week 2026

Hello Everyone!

Tomorrow 20 April at 11am AEST we’ll be kicking off UTS open education week. This is our fourth year and we are very proud of our achievement thus far.

Tomorrow 20 April will be our first session The big debate: Is Generative AI fundamentally incompatible with Open Educational Practices? We will put this question centre stage with a lively, structured debate that is rigorous and entertaining. **
**
On 24 April we will look into Open Wiki Assignments for Authentic Learning exploring how open wiki assignments can turn student work into useful, open knowledge.

We have another in person OE Celebration event including launch of Decoding Data: a Complete Guide to Business Intelligence, by Dr Amara Atif, Senior Lecturer and book editor and author from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. If you are close from Sydney city please join us!

If you have any questions please reach out to me directly mais.fatayer@uts.edu.au.

Everyone is welcome!

Thank you so much Mais for adding these events, especially as the March timing was never optimal for your region. I encourage people to make plans if possible to attend these UTS events.

OEWeek goes on long after one week, as UTS is showing!
