Come join us at the seventh event in our ENOEL Workshop series, organised by SPARC Europe and the European Network of Open Education Librarians (ENOEL), on 15 April 2024 at 1-2:30 PM CEST. The workshop topic is “Embrace the Open: Sharing OER”.
Our workshop facilitators are Marta Bustillo, University College Dublin (Ireland), Kamila Kokot-Kanikula, Gdansk University of Technology (Poland), and Peter Vedal Utnes, The Arctic University of Norway (Norway).
During this workshop, you will learn what to look for when you want to share your educational materials. You will discover solutions and examples to make your materials more open, accessible and shareable. You will learn more broadly about Creative Commons licences, so you can label your materials correctly. Together with other participants, you will further explore ways to effectively share OER. Finally, you can share your experiences of overcoming barriers and challenges to making OER available. Don’t miss this chance to explore OER sharing!
The chat will be open for the audience to ask questions and engage in the discussion directly with our experts.
By the end of this workshop, you will have started to:
- Analyse how far you can share your learning resources [taking into consideration different perspectives: format, project requirements, institutional policies, etc.]
- Explore potential challenges to sharing OER.
- Identify features during the resource design process that will make your content more open, accessible and shareable.
- Select the appropriate licence for re-use of your materials.
- Explore platforms where OER are made available and where you can upload yours.
- Reflect on your own experience of making OER shareable, and find ways in which challenges could be overcome.
