The Digital Open Textbooks for Development initiative invites you to participate in a two-part, interactive webinar programme aimed at providing a practical, introductory overview of Creative Commons licensing and open textbook production.
Open education and the provision of free, high quality and appropriate teaching and learning materials is a necessary and powerful means of addressing social injustice in South African higher education, particularly as relates to resource access, multilingualism, curriculum change and inclusivity.
Are you a student, librarian, lecturer, educator, researcher or manager interested in joining the conversation? Maybe you have ideas or expertise that could help? Maybe you think open education is a good idea, but don’t know where to start? Maybe you would just like to listen in on the conversation?
