Open Education at NorQuest College has changed dramatically since 2016, when we first began encouraging faculty to incorporate open images into their online courses. What started as a small initiative has expanded into a major campus initiative.
Our Reimagine Higher Education plan positioned NorQuest as a world leader in open education, with ambitious goals: publishing 15 open textbooks by 2030, hosting the Open Education Global 2023 conference, and becoming a textbook-cost-free institution by the end of the decade.
We are not only meeting these goals—we’re surpassing them.
In a panel discussion with open stakeholders at NorQuest, we will explore the impact of open education at our college and speculate on next steps in our open journey.
