The OE Week on OEG Connect is a safe space for Open Educators to share and collaborate with colleagues from around the world. Being a digital space, you might think that different rules apply, so we want to be clear with our expectations so that your experience of OE Week on OEG Connect is as smooth, pleasurable, and easy as possible.

This conference is a safe space for Open Educators to share and collaborate with colleagues from around the world. We understand there could be some cultural differences and so have created a participant’s guide on how to behave on the platform, which you can access here.

If at any time you feel uncomfortable or threatened, feel like you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please reach out to us at report@oeglobal.org immediately.

If you do not feel comfortable being identified through the direct reporting process, you can report anonymously by using this form.

What are we doing to protect your privacy?

OE Week on OEG Connect is run entirely by the Open Education Global team and its co-hosts. The technology and information are managed in-house. We have provided links to the terms of use and privacy policies of each of these services for you to review; the links can be found throughout this post and in the summary at the end. We also put requirements in place to help ensure that these service providers protect and handle personal information with care. For example, we have worked with Remo to minimize access to participant data.

Post Only Your Own Stuff

You may not post anything digital that belongs to someone else without their explicit permission. You may not post descriptions of, links to, or methods for stealing someone’s intellectual property (software, video, audio, images), or for breaking any other law.

Of course, all CC-licensed material will be accepted as long as the conditions of each license are abided by.
