@wernerio OK, I’ve read the AI Competency Framework and revisited the ICT Competency Framework. Based on my review I’ve responded to the Call for Comments.
On the scale of 1 (Extremely Unlikely) to 10 (Extremely Likely) I scored most questions a 2. In response to questions seeking detail I linked to a Paul Stacey Comments: UNESCO Draft AI Competency Frameworks for Teachers and Students where I give specific recommendations and feedback.
I’ve been involved in developing a lot of competency frameworks for a wide range of areas from air traffic control to Creative Commons certificates . While I think the current AI competency framework is unusable as is I’ve tried to provide critical but constructive feedback in my comments document.
Open education is a hugely missing piece both as a methodology for developing the AI CFT and as a competency with the AI CFT itself.
Lots of work still to be done to get the AI CFT into shape. Thanks for making it possible for me to submit input.
See you next week!
