As our local conference co-organizer Anna Raunik have said to the OEGlobal team as we arrive, “Wunya” means “welcome” in Yuggera language.
Or you can try “Galang nguruindhau” which means “Good Day” in Turrbal language (I might need some coaching on pronounciation!)
Anna encourages us to visit the State Library of Queensland Library Shop which is just reason to visit the library-- plus great views!
For some readings of books that are set in the city, see the Read Brisbane list from the recent IFLA Information summit.

And @NairarbilTUQ recommends the Heilung ritual performance, happening Wednesday very near the location of the opening reception.
Attendees will not suffer for a lack of things to do, sights to see while in Brisbane. If you are someone from the area, please reply with your best suggestions for activities and places to visit for those coming to Brisbane maybe for the first time.
