Call for Educators & Researchers, Showcase Your Academic Open Source Project

A h/t to @dajbelshaw for flagging this for us.

From the GitHub Education Community (new to me) is this call

We’re excited to announce an opportunity to spotlight your work and share it with our community as well as highlight it during Maintainer Month 2025!

We’re seeking open-source projects led by educators and researchers that showcase the creativity and meaningful impact emerging from academic institutions. Selected projects and their maintainers will be featured through interviews, blog posts, and live-streamed panels—offering a platform to showcase your work, discuss your journey, and connect with the wider open-source community.

It would appear that Maintainer Month is in May, 2025 and this call is for projects to feature in this event. I would imagine quite a few people here maintain their open education / open source projects on GitHub (and I also recognize that many have objections to its relation to Microsoft, let’s not make that the focus).

If you are using GitHub, these community might be a valuable resource. If you are looking to move off of this boat, there are also lots of experience here of projects hosted in GitLab, CodeForge, and likely a few more alternatives.
