Sunday, 25th October 2026, marks 20 years since OpenLearn was launched. To celebrate this milestone I and various colleagues have been interviewed and the edited video is now on YouTube

You may also be interested to read my (rather lengthy) reflections on those 20 years - https://oro.open.ac.uk/112260/.

These also follow on from other celebrations at OER26 and OEGlobal 2026.

The first rules of the open education club? Keep the faith and keep moving forward, only look back to marvel at how far we have come.

Happy almost 20th birthday, OpenLearn! Thanks Andy for sharing the video, It’s quite a testimonial and also good showing of its impact in the stories (I did a slight edit to embed the video).

And indeed Let’s keep the first rule of Open Education Club alive.
