I just heard yesterday about this online webinar from Yale University Library on Evidence-based public health with free information resources This looks like another one of interest for you @openhpecollective !
In this training, graduates of the Yale School of Public Health can learn about free information resources to find and read high-quality public health information.
- Free bibliographic databases (PubMed, Lens, OpenAlex, Google Scholar)
- Free ways to get around paywalls (PMC, Open Access Button, Unpaywall)
- Free citation manager Zotero
Participants will learn to leverage those free resources to practice evidence-based public health, even if you don’t have a current university affiliation or library subscriptions.
I am not sure if there is a recording, but the presenter, Kate Nyhan, research and education librarian for public health at Yale, shared her slide deck which has a wealth of resources for those in the health fields.
