In the OEG Voices Podcast Studio with Maha Bali

As we have done the past few years during Open Education Week, we “open” the OEG Voices podcast recording studio so you can listen in and even participate in the conversations.

You can be there with us in the studio Wednesday March 6 when we are fortunate to welcome Maha Bali, professor of practice at the Center for Learning and Teaching at The American University in Cairo (AUC). Maha was recognized in 2023 with an Individual OE Award For Excellence in the Educator category.

The OEG Voices podcast series provides a conversational style connection with key leaders in open education like Maha. Her accomplishments and presence in advancing equity, social justice, care, critical pedagogy is known around the world. As a keynote speaker, facilitator, and educator she brings both care and wisdom in both virtual and in person spaces.

This podcast recording session with Maha Bali takes place in your local time:

2024-03-06T17:00:00Z - 2024-03-06T18:00:00Z

The podcast will be recorded in Zoom (cameras never required) and space in the studio is open for those who register to secure a seat

In this conversation with Maha we plan to ask about her approaches and philosophy as an open educator with her students at AUC (and beyond), with the faculty she supports (globally), and honestly, the world in general. Very likely we will discuss her current practices and insights on AI literacy.

But you never know where an interesting conversation will go, perhaps we can talk about the braveness of being bad at crochet.

We are counting on lively conversation and you can be part of the action, even just to listen in by signing up to be in the studio (or wait until it appears at https://voices.oeglobal.org/ ).

Again, reply below with any questions or comments you want us to share with Maha.
