Monday Connect: One Thing from Open Education Week

Last Monday was a bit busy with the launch of Open Education Week, and yes, for the record, I missed a week. But we can catch up, right? We expect it was a full week for many of you.

To wrap the week, today’s monday-connect ought to be easy. Share one thing you heard about, one thing you clicked a link for, one thing that made you say “Wow, that is what open education is about.” Share a link, the name of a project, the name of an organization you never hear of. Just use the handy blue reply button, and type one thing into the box.

In fact, this was the name of one of the ongoing activities listed for OEWeek, the DS106 Daily Create a five day series which was also posted under daily-create

Share. One thing I absolutely recommend is the monumental effort by the UNESCO RELIA Chair and the the UNITWIN-UNOE network with the Sharing is a Challenge article series, with 16 posts being published in March, in seven languages. These are published across three different web sites, and we have set up a site to subscribe and automatically publish the links as they are available.

We hope you can ponder these challenges to sharing and at the same time, you can show it is not a challenge by sharing at least an OEWeek One Thing here or consider sharing any highlights you experience from Open Education Week in our space standing by to receive them.

I am always focused on this during Open Education Week because with over 250 activities (and that is an underestimate as many more happen that are not added to the calendar), there is no way to cover it all, so we ask that you help do this collectively.

How about one thing to share, can you help out with that?
