I’ve been part of MyFest every year and can vouch that its a most flexible approach to professional (and human) development in a format of pretty much pick and choose what and how to participate. There are many live sessions plus ongoing asynchronous activities, and countless means to connect with colleagues.

Or officially described –

– a three-month celebration of community, care, and co-created learning. This virtual, global learning festival runs June, July, and August 2025, with sessions and activities designed to recharge, renew, and reconnect us during challenging times.

At its heart, MYFest25 is an invitation to pause, reflect, and reimagine education and connection in a way that centers social justice, imagination, wellbeing and joy.

MYFest25 is different from most online conferences. It is a build-your-own-learning journey experience, offering a rich “buffet” of sessions—we will avoid scheduling overlapping sessions—so you can join what you want, when you want, with no FOMO (Fear of Missing Out).

All sessions are grounded in our ethos of Intentionally Equitable Hospitality (IEH) – a praxis that means our organizers and facilitators take seriously their responsibility to intentionally create spaces that feel welcoming, inclusive, and caring, especially for those farthest from justice. Read about how we have designed MYFest in this Inside Higher Ed article, or this briefer version of it.

There is a registration fee for MyFest, but in the spirit of inclusion, Equity Unbound is committed to making MYFest25 financially accessible for anyone who would like to attend. Registration follows a “pay what you can” model

I’m dedicating chunks of my energy over the next three months to MyFest and would love to see strong participation from the OEGlobal community.

This is an event offered by and for the open education community. If you are logged into OEG Connect, return to the main OE Events space where you can add your own event as a new topic

Yesterday was the synchronous part of the OpenCon_Ohio conference,
I was delightfully surprised that sessions actually did connect to my world  There was a session 'Care + Open Practices = Hope" and I thought oh, what will this be… and… it included how to bring folks in and make collaborating work, which is … exactly where I am.
It inspires me to be willing to explore MTFest25

I can guarantee you will find that intersection of Care and Open Practices ay MyFest, Sue!

You can see yourself at the May 29 tasting.
