Can you feel the excitement (or is it just me)? Technically we are just 3 days from the “start” of Open Education Week on March 2, 2026. The countdown clock is going.

We are now at 228 items on the calendar, which includes events set for a specific date and time on the main calendar as well as other ongoing activities that take place over days, weeks, or more.

After Events
Who can attend all the events? Nobody!
Share anything you learned through your own social media channels but as well, we have the Share OE Week space here in OEG Connect to share an interesting resource, link, or just an observation. Start a new topic, reply to someone else’s.
Beyond Events
There’s more going on for Open Education Week than events, we are asking that you share any/all open resources of your own or that you have seen that are important in this time. That’s where we ask to share Open Assets (more or less OER).
Rather than creating Yet One More List of resources of our own, we recommend that you share in existing repositories, especially any that are locally relevant. Our starting suggestions are outline with full instructions:
- Share in OER Commons
- Share on the OER World Map
- Share here in OEG Connect
- Or share anywhere else and just let us know via OERs Added Around the World form
Look for other asynchronous things to do in the Do OE Week Activities area. Or better yet, create your own there. Start a challenge. Post a tricky question.
I can hear that clock ticking down… it’s getting louder… we are ready to make the Open Education Town Square get very busy!
