Open Invitation to Participate in Research Interview on Renewable Assignments in Higher Education

This is an open invitation request to be a potential participant for the research interview I am currently conducting for my master’s thesis titled “ Developing a Renewable Assignment Starter Kit for Educators to Promote Sustainable Assessment Practice in Higher Education."

I am Florence Nkemjika Okoroegbe, a master’s student of Leadership in Open Education at the University of Nova Gorica, Slovenia. I am a member of Open Education Global, and your insightful posts, conversations on open education, and comments on my conversation on renewable assignments increased my interest in the topic and have been a source of inspiration for my master’s thesis research work.

As part of the study, I am conducting interviews with higher education lecturers who have experience or are interested in assessment practices in higher education. The interview aims to explore how a Renewable Assignment Starter Kit can help educators implement or integrate renewable assignment methods to promote sustainable assessment practices in higher education.

The interview will take approximately 30–45 minutes and will be conducted online at a time that is convenient for you. Participation is entirely voluntary, and all information shared will be treated with strict confidentiality and used solely for academic purposes.

Thank for Florence you sharing your research on renewable assignments and I hope you get many replies of interest. The concept has long resonated with me ever since hearing the first description of “disposable assignments” and it well framed now to be more positive with the “renewable” descriptor.

I hope you keep us posted and we would be very keenly interested in featuring the results of your efforts. And this is exactly the kind of activity we hope to see in this community space.

Florence, an excellent suggestion I got from my colleague @heatherb is that you should signup and post your request the CCCOER Community Email (a google group).

She’s correct that many similar requests there like yours get a good response, plus it is in general a great informative space for open educators at all levels of education.
