Hi everyone! For those who are f2f in Boston for the conference, I will be hosting a low-stim, highly relaxed poetry share on Wednesday at 4:20pm. This is one of three f2f “Sparking Creativity, Connection, and Curiosity with the Open Education Network” sessions; the other two are casual field trips to help you get off-site and into beautiful places nearby.

But for this “Pause with Poems” session, we will be staying put in Salon M in the conference venue and just sharing our favorite poems with each other, under low light and with no pressure to do anything but breathe and listen. Just a way to take a break from the rigor and activity and settle into a different, easier vibe.

For those who are online, feel free to use this thread to share a favorite poem. I’d love to see the poems that you all love and lean on!

Here is one I love for fall:

Under the Harvest Moon

Under the harvest moon,
When the soft silver
Drips shimmering
Over garden nights,
Death, the gray mocker,
Comes and whispers to you
As a beautiful friend
Who remembers.

Under the summer roses
When the flagrant crimson
Lurks in the dusk
Of the wild red leaves,
Love, with little hands,
Comes and touches you
With a thousand memories,
And asks you
Beautiful, unanswerable questions.
