Indeed the nomination form for the 2026 OEAwards opened today, and even before we published the announcement story, we have received our first (of many) nominations.
I fully accept laying it on thickly with the seed planting metaphor (it is currently garden prep season where I live now) which we incorporated last year from the many sayings that “everything begins with a seed”
I did resist the temptation to apply another saying spotted in a blog post by Mags Amond that “every oak tree was a little acorn once” - my searching indicates this is a paraphrasing of Geoffrey Chaucer’s 14th century line "Mighty oaks from little acorns grow”.
