Knowledge Commons committed, in 2025, to the adoption of the Principles of Open Scholarly Infrastructure. To that end, we’ve completed a new annual audit to determine the degree to which our operations are now in alignment with POSI version 2.0. We will continue to update this information as we make progress toward our goals. We will also indicate relative progress against last year’s audit. Where no relative progress is indicated, this means that the clause was new and introduced in POSI 2.0.
I open this year’s POSI audit on an analytic note. The changes to POSI between versions yield an interesting history/genealogy of community consensus around infrastructure. We often learn as much about the process of negotiation by looking at what was removed as much as what was added
