Has anyone seen our executive co-Director Igor Lesko? He was last seen in a conference planning meeting Thursday, but there is nothing we can see on his calendar. Maybe you can help locate him this weekend!
Note: This is all in fun, Igor is find and away from work for a few days-- and some of us know exactly what he is up to. We just thought we would have some fun with a bit of playful internet fiction. Many of you know where Igor is going, but do not give it away, just play along with the story.
When the Thursday meeting notes were sent out, all we heard was:

Thank you for your email. I am out of office until 22 April 2026 and
will reply as soon as possible upon my return.

Mysterious. Vague. Lack of detail. Maybe he is still running after that dissertation? No! He’s done!
Oh wait, we found a fragment of a handwritten note from Igor in a private Slack Channel, we can just make out a reference for something big happening to him on 2026-04-19T04:45:00Z and what looks like a sketch of something like

Oh well, I guess no one wanted to play along with my fiction here. So the real story is that Igor is not only running a race, but he is also swimming and bicycling in the Ironman South Africa Championship. Wow!
Igor enters the water at 6:45AM local time or 2026-04-19T04:45:00Z in your time zone and should finish sometime before 2026-04-19T22:00:00Z your time.

The finish line is in sight for @igorlesko At this pace the tracker says he will complete the Ironman at 10:11pm local time which is 2026-04-19T20:11:00Z in your time.
I thought I saw him through the pouring rain during the Simon’s Town Naval Festival this weekend? Maybe he was trying to get home by using one of the rowing boats ?
Alan, I’m right there with you. Tracking and cheering with a cold tea in hand while he’s out there doing the impossible! So inspiring to witness.
