Thank you Barbara for sharing these two papers that have something in “common” and from a quick scan I can see needing some more time to unpack Robert Farrow’s introduction of a new word for me, “cosmopolitanism” and what precisely is a manifestation of Petar Jandrić’s concept of a commons that is post digital.

This is all timely following a meeting today with Kathleen Fitzpatrick, director of the fascinating Knowledge Commons… we were tossing the idea of opening some discussion sessions for Open Education Week about the concept of an open commons in 2026.

And I am always keen to here if for into next year, we can perhaps introduce or activate a bit more focussed discussion say on a particular paper I admit desiring some community help in understanding both of these you shared!

We appreciate your sharing the outputs of. the [Education ouverte et libre](Education Ouverte et Libre - Open Education journal.
