We Like "We Like Sharing"

See the winners of the TUDelft Open Education Week activity where staff and students were asked to contribute photos that illustrated their interpretation of openness. Participants were asked to choose a license to share their photo under and in doing so were assured that the photos remain the property of the person the created the work.

This is a fantastic activity for both showcasing photography skills but also promoting the idea of open licensing media.

All 55 contributed photos were made available in a flickr photo album

I was enthusiastic when @bdelosarcos messaged me inviting to help judge by selecting my top 3 picks. Bea reports that to winners were notified Monday and are all thrilled by the recognition. Enjoy them all, here are the “top five”…

Hey, yes, thanks Alan!!

This was such fun. And it’s so easy to set up -I’d encourage anyone to do something similar in your institutions.
A majority of entries in the competition came from students, not faculty
Not that we needed more evidence that students need to be involved in doing open, but there you go!!

Happy to share my experience if anyone has any questions.

BTW, happy St Patrick’s Day!
