We are opening up this space now for anyone who cannot travel to Brisbane (well they can share here too) to consider doing something different from a typical “presentation” as a way to share your open education projects, technologies, research, open pedagogy, art – anything that ties into the conference theme of “Open is Everybody’s Business”
Get creative! Just create a new topic, and customize the template to share whatever you wish to share.
Great idea! Planning to create a virtual space as a showcase, like a digital gallery with a conference hashtag to share on platforms like Flickr or have an idea of a Collaborative whiteboard to share and make others to participate to share their works too! Will surely work on these, meanwhile please comment on the idea to improvise. Thanks in advance.
Places and new means to share are always welcome. Perhaps something that focuses on a conference topic, or current subject (climate change? health?). Or something that would enable a way for people to find colleagues with an interest in the same area?
My idea of whiteboard here is to ask Open Education Enthusiasts to share a brief story related to openness in their context / how it helped/shaped their work / or Open project / initiative that have an impact…just an idea. Don;t know if already this kind a place for expressing their stories exists
This sounds great. I plan not to be the gatekeeper here for ideas but the person standing by the open door Whatever you want to organize and offer is welcome.
I usually try to ask this kind of question of guests in our OE Global Voices podcast. To me it carries impact to hear it in the voice of the storyteller, maybe a call for short audio reflections too (this ties into another idea I am floating for the conference) that get to the person or event that was like an inflection point on one’s journey into open ed, e.g. the Call to Adventure stage??
