A Hat Tip to Amanda Coolidge

Please send some warm and appreciative thoughts to Amanda Coolidge @acoolidge who recently left her Executive Director role at BCcampus. I’ve been fortunate to have known Amanda for so long I can’t remember when. She’s an inspiration to me. Read more in the farewell message from BCcampus written by Tracy Roberts.

This is a perfect case to do what I have been trying to get rolling, sending short messages of microgratitide as a remixed “hat tip” from the Remixer Machine created by @VisualThinkery

You can just send these privately like I did or publicly (like I did too) byt starting and remixing the image and message from https://remixer.visualthinkery.com/r/p2OKA1GxVV9nKrzIxmRl/1jbYeWQYDYGe61IflXOo. The idea I hope to spawn is to “Hat Tip it Forward” - -if you get one, remix and send to someone else

Follow Amanda with her ongoing activities via her web site Coolidge Collaborative.

For more appreciation, I would recommend a listen to our podcast recorded during Open Education Week 2025 with Amanda, @mdeepwell and @marcela

And another hat tip ought to be on its way (who wants to send it) to Clint Lalonde @clintlalonde who has stepped into the big shoes of being Interim Executive Director of BCcampus.

But if you have known Amanda or want to share your appreciation, that reply button below is waiting for you.

I love this hat tip idea! I have also known Amanda for many years (can’t remember how long!), and have so appreciated her insightful, creative, and values-driven work at BCcampus and beyond. I have felt so fortunate to learn from her and with her as we’ve worked together and crossed paths in various ways. Amanda has done such great work the past few years as Executive Director of BCcampus, developing new relationships & collaborations, governance structures, projects, a new strategic vision & plan, and much more. So inspiring!

Please give the hat tip a try! Surely folks want to see more than mine in the mix. It ought to be positively viral.

Ooooh just in time is a new episode @mdeepwell does on the Leading Virtual Teams podcast, this one with Amanda on Navigating Career Transitions
