Currents in Digital Education Newsletter on South African Higher Education context

The tour is long over, we do hope to keep at least some kind of activity pulse here. Or at least I will do that.

Via a mastodon message from Laura Czerniewicz @czernie (hi Laura) I cam across the wonderfully regionally useful newsletter from the Community of Practice on Digital Education in Learning and Teaching (DELT CoP) – it is called Currents in Digital Education and I m just swimming along with the March 2026 issue.

Currents in Digital Education is your regular guide to navigating the ever-shifting tides of higher education, with a special focus on what matters most in the South African Higher Education context. Our trio trawls the shores, curating resources sourced from our local waters here in South Africa; perspectives and practices from across the global South in our southern currents; and, dipping into northern streams, for carefully selected relevant insights from the global North.

I am not surprise Laura has an aquatics theme in the structure  And I cannot do its summaries justice for what is useful. Take note that the resources shared I believed are also tracked in the DELT CoP’s open bibliography

For those with interest in Africa and the global south, I recommend signing up to get future issues of Currents in Digital Education.. I just did.
