Do Today's Daily Create: #tdc5162 #ds106 The View from Where You Sit for Open Education Week #OEWeek26

March 2-6 is the annual celebration of Open Education Week , if you have not heard about it, check out everything happening this week with a daily schedule of stuff to do . And it’s taking over the Daily Create for five days.

Show us where you are sitting during Open Education Week! Think about your garden variety webinar, what do you see on screen? A bunch of faces staring out at you. Do you ever what they see from the other side? What do they see behind the screen?

Today’s challenge is easy. Show us the View From Where You Sit show us your device and what is beyond. Here is Alan Levine’s view.

Here is where I will do many sessions, the Library room in the house. I need to set up my green screen! Beyond is some snow that is rapidly melting. If you look close you might see a few cacti. Photo by Alan Levine CC0

I am recycling this activity from last year and farther back in time (at that link you find the credits to my Maricopa colleague Donna Rebadow who told me about doing this activity in the 1980s).

Can you do all five Daily Creates This Week?

I am adding this week’s OEWeek challenges as an activity posted to the Open Education Week collection . If you are a regular Daily Creator you know how to reply to this Daily Create in Mastodon. But you can post your photo anywhere and share a link in the comments below, or even better, you can reply to this challenge in the OEG Connect Activity Space . Or just do them for yourself! There are no rules in the Daily Create Club.

I hope people enjoy the daily creates this week and join us over on

Mastodon. Here’s the view from where I sit.

Thanks for sharing your view, Sarah. I see nice blue skies out there.

I did mine ahead of time as the example to publish for today’s daily create

Rhis is where I am participating in sessions, the Library room in the house. Beyond is some snow that is rapidly melting. If you look close you might see a few cacti.

Since I had done that one early, I decided to show how the Daily Create allows bending of the rules, I decided to show the view behind where I sit. I could not find my green screen, so I. had to improvise with a taped white sheet.

Hey, someone needs to fill my coffee cup.
