LibreTexts unites students and faculty in a unified, easy-to-use online platform for the construction, customization, and dissemination of OER. LibreTexts is a community of faculty who teach across the higher ed curriculum and LibreTexts technology is built to support their needs.
To use LibreTexts to build your own custom book fill out the form at https://register.libretexts.org/. You get a personal (or a team) sandbox to work in, and when done LibreTexts will provide a branded Campus Shell. LibreTexts handles all IT.
If you want to learn more about LibreTexts come to our October 15 workshop
Institutions joining our network benefit from concentrated training and mentoring. Their LibreTexts are available as a branded collection in our new LibreCommons and more.
LibreTexts is the world’s most popular online textbook site with over 2000 books across the curriculum and over 688 million site visits. Every book can be printed at low cost. Files are updated weekly and available without cost.
We are interested in collaborating with teaching faculty worldwide to develop multilingual content to support education in their countries. This would occur within LibreTexts sustainability plan which envisions a more formal network of institutions our non-profit entity retaining faculty focused services. Membership has a low annual fee of $1000 which includes training, all IT support and a branded commons for your institution.
LibreTexts meets the UNESCO OER rules of no-cost access under open CC licenses. Accessible 24/7 via the internet, LibreTexts provides files allowing low cost print-on-demand of all and is developing a cell phone app and Raspberry Pi based LibreTexts in a Box for remote locations.
