Greetings, Open Advocates,
This message is cross-posted.
The schedule for LibreTexts LibreFest 2025 (July 7-11) workshop is officially here!
Day 1: LibreFest 2025 kicks off with an introduction to the greater LibreVerse and then dives right into our one-of-a-kind open homework and assessment platform, ADAPT. Learn how to build a course, build an assignment, and add questions in ADAPT. We will also introduce you to question building with Discuss-It and creating learning trees.
Day 2: Continuing the theme of advanced technologies in the LibreVerse, we will introduce you to our latest platform, the Forge, and our newly rebuilt Jupyter hub. You will be given time in breakout rooms to build an assignment in the Forge, and/or a Jupyter notebook. We will also discuss open licensing and how recent accessibility guidelines from the US Department of Justice are being handled within the LibreVerse.
Day 3: We will shift gears from advanced technologies to our Conductor project management platform, remixing the more than 1.5 million pages of OER within our libraries, and all of the ways LibreTexts handles ancillary materials. You will have a chance to create your own remixed resource, and a project on Conductor to help you (and your team) work more efficiently.
Day 4: Today is all about editing your open textbook. From basic editing to more advanced editing features and interactive materials, we have you covered.
Day 5: We will close out the week with an introduction to our new Academy Center for Open Instructional Innovation and Professional Development, and a discussion about how to run a successful OER program on your campus.
