Open Education Week is now Open (as in open) to Adding Your Events to the Global Calendar

We announced here and there that the submission form for adding your locally organized events for Open Education Week 2025 is O-P-E-N. Can we generate in 2025 a surplus of openness?

If you are new to OE Week, start with the overview, but its as simple as a time that OE Global annually asks the world to make the achievements and potential of Open education visible during the first week of March, this year March 3-7.

We ask individuals, organizations, institutions to share any kind of event, in person or online, to make them all comprise one massive calendar (for a taste see last year’s calendar)

What if my event is taking place at another time?
We are so open that time does not matter! We will publish to the calendar any and all open education related events taking place now through the end of March.

Is there something more to this than events?
Absolutely! We are launching yet another twist on sharing open assets this year (aka resources) encouraging sharing through OER Commons, the OER World map, and yes, right here in OEG Connect. See the details https://oeweek.oeglobal.org/assets/

And yes, we have a brand new collection of icons, animations, banners, slide deck templates, and more in the OE Week Visuals Kit.

Participating also includes sharing what you learn from events, e.g. in all of the different social media channels out there! There will be asynchronous activities! Recipe sharing! Photos of pets sharing! Making remixes, and more.

Get ready for much more for Open Education Week 2025.
