I’m happy to be listening to Konstantina and Mustafa session on Growing the Open HPE Movement: An Introduction and Invitation (HPE is Health Professions Education).
I decided to go remembering that they had introduced their project, the Open HPE Collective earlier this year:
Their first project is Open Pedagogy in HealthProfessions’ Education: A practical Guide
Just on quick peak, I was drawn to this diagram of five elements of Open Education:
The attributes of open education by Open HPE Collective, licensed under CC-BY-NC 4.0
When describing an educational resource or practice as “open” in HPE we typically
refer to five interlinked words regarding the learning setting: Access, Transparency,
Free, Sharing, and Licensing. These concepts help educators, students, and
institutions create a more equitable, collaborative, and flexible learning environment.
This is fantastic effort for medical ediucators.
