Just to set up an example reply, I made a post card for one of my all time favorite projects, Storyweaver.

Created in 2004 by publisher Pratham Books, Storyweaver’s mission of “a book in every child’s hand” to learn reading in their own language, driven by the vast array of languages spoken in India. But their reach and platform that enables stories to be translated goes far beyond India.

I was excited to see Storyweaver win a 2023 Open Education Award for Excellence as an Open Repository. And I was fortunate to record an OEGlobal Voices podcast with Storyweaver’s Purvi Shah that sheds more light on what an excellent, award worthy example of openness.

I had asked Purvi to read a segment from one of her favorite stories. What an amazing bit of serendipty that the one she chose, What Will Today Bring? was written by OEGlobal colleague Chrissi Nerantzi !

We appreciate the enthusiasm and early sharing from the Almayzab Digital Library- Join the live sessions on October 14 to hear their Snapshot talk.

I am already curious to know what their most requested / useful open resources are? Who in Sudan (or beyond) is making use of this open resource? What other kinds of resources would they like to have in the library?
