Last year I put out a call here in OEG Connect for open education related podcasts ones that educators produced or just listened to.
Because podcasts are powered by good old fashioned RSS feeds were were able to make something of them, see our Open Education Podcast Collection with now 15 of them
We have a bundle of them set up so you can see the latest episodes as well as a downloadable file that you can import into your podcast app to subscribe to all at once.
When reviewing all of the lightning talks and posts here to assemble the OEGlobal Tour Destination Guide, I was pleased to find three more to add to the collection.
The first is Eric Byron’s Educators Innovators podcast which he shared in our introductions topic for the tour.
While his show is not specific to open education, I was keen to listen when Eric shared a link for a recent episode with Shai Reshef, founder of the University of the People which offers 100% online accredited degree programs to learners around the world, tuition free.
Thanks Eric for nudging me to listen.
The other two new podcasts came from the sessions in the Latin America Region, the links I picked up from the slides.
The first is the Puentes Digitales’s podcast includes nearly 200 episodes and was mentioned in the talk on Day 3 of the tour. This project is achieving fantastic success brining connectivity to rural communities in Argentina and was nominated for a 2025 OEAward for Excellence.
The podcast (in Spanish) is described:
Te invitamos a escuchar un programa que se sumerge en el mundo de las tecnologías digitales. No solo para saber qué son y cómo funcionan, sino sobre todo conocer esas acciones, iniciativas y proyectos que buscan una verdadera inclusión digital.
or
We invite you to listen to a program that delves into the world of digital technologies. Not only to learn what they are and how they work, but above all to discover the actions, initiatives, and projects that strive for true digital inclusion.
The second Spanish Language podcast surfaced on the tour was Dos voces, un Alma representing AlmaFuerteLab, the efforts of OE Award educator winner Ana Michelle Téllez Ferrer shared also on the OEGlobal Day Tour stop in Latin America.
I was excited to find these podcasts, which again are not strictly about open education itself as topics, but certainly represents open educators who were part of the tour and topics of interest .
I am still seeking more podcasts to add to our collection, so if you know of ones we should add, please let us know with a reply.
