What Open Education Podcasts to You Know / Listen to / Recommend

Like many people I get as lot of value in listening to podcasts. I’m fiddling with an interesting way to create a collection of ones related to Open Education, and have a few I know of or found.

I’ve been making podcasts a looooong time and enjoy immensely producing the OE Global Voices podcast, even if my in house audience is less than enthralled.

Can you share the names / and links to any podcasts you know of that fit? We aer very very keen to find ones in other languages or parts of the world outside the Usual Places.

It can be a judgement call if it is a podcast is worth adding that covers other topics but opften if it can be labeled a podcast about Open Education, and we’d only want those if there is a way to group them by tag or category (if you are unsure just share a link and we will investigate).

Here’s a very short starting list I have surfaced - hoping the people like @greeneterry on this list can suggest others. A number of the ones I found have not been updated in a few years (looking at you Creative Commons, what happened to Open Minds??!)

Dear Alan levin,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to follow up on my previous message, where I sent you the link to the Mayzab Digital Library, along with a profile and a video tutorial on how to subscribe.
mdl.edu.sd

The Mayzab Digital Library offers a range of services in e-learning, research, and training. The library provides access to a vast collection of digital resources, including e-books, articles, and research papers.

The video tutorial I sent explains how to register for the library by creating an account. This will give you access to the library’s resources and allow you to take full advantage of its services.

Best regards,
Wisal Alim

I mean I am a big fan of OEG Voices! My other faves are not focused on Open Education per se, but they are an act of open education by doing what they are doing. Those are: Accessagogy with Ann Gagné, focused on accessible pedagogy Episode – Ann Gagné, PhD and Pedagodzilla https://www.pedagodzilla.com/ " The pedagogic podcast with the pop culture core". I got to be a guest on the show where we used the Wu Tang Clan to describe online collaborative learning. So much fun.

I’ve heard all the episodes you were on and with Anne. I tapped into a few of hers. I do see it being problematic to classify podcast as being just about open education, I’m thinking of going broader like “open education adjacent” or “podcasts open educators listen to”

Classifying things is hard!

I’m waiting for the next Gettin Air
