Abstract
This paper presents a workshop experience on capacity building of stakeholders on Open Educational Resources (OER) and materials development. The workshop held from 10th to 13th February 2020, while participants were 22 Distance Learning Institute (DLI) staff of Federal University Oye Ekiti, Nigeria. The workshop was sponsored by the Commonwealth of Learning. Thematic areas include overview of OER; Course material development in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) including approaches, roles, workflow, publishing and SDGs, Green publishing; Pedagogical issues in course material development; Designing an inclusive OER and Key issues in re-using an existing OER. A pre-and post assessment questionnaire was administered on participants. Findings include highlights from presentations and groups activities as well as the assessment exercises. Appropriate recommendations will be shared.Keywords
