Open Petagogy ... back at OEWeek by popular demand!

We haven’t had an Open Petagogy roll call for a while, and this OEWeek, we thought we’d give some open love to those furry (and non-furry) friends who put up with us all!

It’s time to share the pets beyond the screens who listen to you on Zoom, get in the way of your last-minute keyboard typing, chew your desk leg, or just sit on your lap and expect you not to move.

Share your pet love … here are my 3 rascals after a walk on Kommetjie Beach in Cape Town, South Africa …

Draw some pawfect inspiration from previous versions:

Look at those rascals and OMG THE PUPPY! Let’s roll out the petagogy pix! And you know I have just a few photos of Felix, the teacher of Mind, Body, Soul Relaxation through rolling in snow.

Mostly Felix mediates and contemplates the value of creative expression without the artifices of AI

Oh Joy, It’s Monday flickr photo by cogdogblog shared into the public domain using Creative Commons Public Domain Dedication (CC0)

Follow Felix’s photos in Flickr and he also posts them to his own Mastodon account (all the cool dogs are in the Fediverse)

There are a few more pets to share, but am waiting to see more from the audience.

My Indian puffer fish are having a very serious discussion with Gilligan about open pedagogy. He is trying to learn.

I was going to launch into a whole thing about how snuggling Moxie is a trap, like inclusive access – all sweet on the surface, but with fine print that binds you to endless scritches. But I opted out instead.

But a trap worth being trapped in! What a joyous expression she has, I would fall for it every time
