I got an email announcement of a new white paper (always curious, the term comes from meaning available public access) from Hypothes.is:

Curiously enough, it seems rather lightly annotated But maybe it’s because it’s newly released.

Do we have people here who are active web annotators? Or teach with it? I really thought we could harness activity around community annotating things like the UNESCO Recommendation on OER

As a series of actions to bridge the recent 2021 OEGlobal Online conference with the upcoming May 2022 in-person Congress in Nantes, we invite open educators to enrich the UNESCO Recommendation on OER by using Hypothes.is web annotation to add information, examples, commentary to specific portions of the five action areas. Might we coordinate something here to select on some ongoing basis a paper or web site to annotate together? I think of new papers like Impact of COVID-19 on Formal Education: An International Review of Practices and Potentials of Open Education at a Distance that are now un-annotated.
