Abstract
Open education is a recent challenge to legal education. While flipped classroom, multimedia are all popular teaching methods nowadays, face to face interaction still plays a fundamental role in legal education. The technological developments have provided new flexible opportunities to the open education practice. The 5R concept of Open Educational Resources (OER) are Retain, Reuse, Revise, Remix and Redistribute. It offers the possibility for the course designers to modify the course by using technologies to achieve it. New technologies have opened avenues for synchronized online learning, and interaction of students with different jurisdictions all over the world. This research is promoting OER-based in a blended learning method. With reused pre-class recorded materials, remixed in-class synchronized long-distance teaching, and after class revised supports by tutors providing assistances and feedback group tutorials. The open blending learning also let students from all over the world to retain their learning together at tutorials, informal study groups and through online study networks, conferencing and course forum. The open blended learning will also strengthen the students’ knowledge and develop reflective learning practices. This paper will focus on how to use the technologies to enhance OER in blended learning and discussing different techniques to enhance online learning practices and improve class participation in both an online and classroom setting.Keywords
